Gay Matters

An award function- the famous hosts are entertaining the guests and viewers very wittily. No doubt, they are experts in that business. Both of them are male- so now a days the favourite subject to mimic is ‘Pretending as a Gay’ when you are not. Why award ceremony, think of our everyday life. A teenage conversation to an office canteen - you will find such jokes on gays very easily. Jokes on Gays are the most in thing in market. Even I also laugh a lot in this kind of situations. But suddenly one thing hit me-‘How would I feel if someday people laugh at my poor dressing sense?” I kept on thinking. I found, I still have an option to improve it. Eventually what about those people who cannot just change their sexual orientation? In fact why should they? So many questions gathered in my mind. I searched for chapter XVI under section 377 of IPC, which was introduced in India during British rule stating that sexual activity against the order of nature is criminal offense! Though Delhi High Court decriminalised the same sex behaviour among consenting adults in 2009.
Another question in my mind- I learnt from Hindu Shastras that a couple makes love to have a child. Because that child will keep the lamp on of the family. According to Indian mythology sex as an outcome of lust is not accepted. So no free sex in India!
So the ‘is equal to’ all of these ‘NO-NO’s Indians should have sex only for a purpose. Then how could Delhi High Court went against? May be they are more practical. Closing your eyes from the facts does not change the reality. You have to accept it before dealing with it. Be it pre-marital sex or one night stand or post-marital love making – it’s nothing but physicality sometimes ornamented with many emotions. This is all about how you enjoy this activity. Of course in same gender case it cannot be reproductive. Still we cannot throw them out of our society.
Oh! My God! What a hypocrite society we live in. We broadcast our happiness for ‘their’ legal rights. And simultaneously we broadcast mimicry on them. We are so called ‘cool about everything generation’. Jokes apart, we all know that its simple biology; science. So do not be cool. This is the right time baby to be cool with them not with their public humiliation.

  2. You are so right but the question is why do you laugh when someone imitates the way Shahrukh said 'ki..ki..ki..kiran" or the way our beloved Mrs Sen speaks or even our most hilarious RJ and host Mir mimics Mr. P.C Sirkar with his most famous and cute "va..i..nis..hh" ?
Actually We all laugh and find it funny when someone mimics or imitates someone. We all love to imitate others and think its funny (while if someone does the same thing with us, our mood doesn’t stay cool all the time). but its quite a natural and normal behavior. I cant recall any incidents where we "commoners" ever did physically hurt any of the homosexuals for their way of choice or view. Its quite rare. the real fact is we men in most of the cases gets foolishly afraid of them just for the same reason you women find it hard sometimes over us while traveling in a crowded bus or walking lonely at night.
Have you ever thought of the point to appeal about stopping Sunil Pal imitating our famous actors of Bollywood? have you ever thought of sending Mir a mail requesting to do with his "Rituporno act" ? No, and I believe there's nothing wrong with it caz they never mean to disrespect them by these “satires”.Even in our city the word "homo" got replaced by "Rituporno". (tuito puro rituporno re) but I think we all are great fans of "his" movie direction and never find it shameful from any corners of our mind to confess it.Can you ever think That anyone with a normal human nature can ever think of boycotting his movies due to his sexual orientation?? OMG!!that will be sick man!. Have you witnessed any kind of objections or rage against the recent decriminalization of the "same-sex behavior" except from some minor Muslim groups(as I always say, there are and should be exceptions to maintain a balance)
Even over the valid reason(homosexuality increases the chance of getting infected by the disease HIV/AIDS) on which the "Human Rights watch" presented their objection, the section was renewed with their own much more stronger reasons. So relax. They are our friends too.. And just like I can say "miss ambitious giant" as many times I want while talking with you, how about getting a little more informal with them too with a sweet "homo kothakar" ...

  3. Hey thank you for starting this discussion. Buddy, my only point for writing this article is to put a line in this matter. There is a term 'sensitive issue,' this is something like that.Enjoy the fruit without ruining the root.

  5. i think ridiculing anyone for anything should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. the gimmicks are still on, since the topic is new. i wonder why the article has nothing about lesbians...i guess that is because the media often portrays it in glorious light.....i mean most people see leso act as HOTT and some see it as an act, liberating women from their male counters, in seeking physical love..

in short LIVE and let LIVE...

only till someone comes to you, to force you into indulgences that you dont want to give in to..
nd if they do, give them a tight slap!

else i thot the article was pretty thoughtful :)
